Legacy dataset 2006–2016
Fully anonymized historical data from 2006 to 2016
The so-called legacy dataset comprises transplant-related medical data collected between 2006 and 2016. These were retrospectively incorporated into the registry in order to generate initial insights as quickly as possible during the establishment of the registry.
The data are stored in the registry in fully anonymized form.
Dataset from 2017 onwards
Pseudonymized data from 2017 with patient consent
For the data to be transmitted annually from 2017 onwards, the consent of living donors, individuals on the waiting list, and transplant recipients is required in accordance with legal requirements.
Data delivered to the registry since 2017 are incorporated in pseudonymized form into the dataset of the Transplant Registry (separate from the legacy dataset).
Note: Descriptions of the datasets currently available for request via the export portal can be found in the Technical Specifications section,

Research institutions and scientific registries
Important: Your affiliation with an institution in accordance with Sections 15f and 15g TPG determines under which category you register in the Tx Export Portal. This registration influences which data you are able to request.
For example, if you work at a transplant center but require data for research purposes, you should register as a research institution pursuant to Section 15g TPG. If, on the other hand, you register as a transplant center pursuant to Section 15f TPG, you will only receive data from your own center.
Use the Tx Export Portal to quickly and securely obtain the registry data relevant to you.
